Aerobie company was founded in 1984 by Alan Adler, a renowned inventor and retired Stanford University engineering instructor, to manufacture and sell his revolutionary sporting goods inventions, including the Aerobie Pro flying ring, which set a Guinness World Record for the longest throw.
In 2004 Alan began studying the coffee brewing process and analysing coffee maker designs in order to create a truly innovative device that would brew a superior cup of coffee. At a coffee industry trade show in November, 2005, Aerobie debuted its breakthrough AeroPress coffee maker.
After taking a couple of years to establish credibility in the coffee world, sales of the AeroPress to serious coffee lovers took off across the USA and in over 60 countries.
In 2017, the assets of the Aerobie sport toy business were sold to the Swimways Corporation, a subsidiary of Spin Master Ltd., and the name of the company was officially changed to AeroPress, Inc. In 2019, we expanded the AeroPress product line by introducing the AeroPress Go travel coffee press.
In 2021 Tiny Capital Ltd bought the AeroPress division. They continue to innovate around AeroPress coffee maker.
